Milden Scow spent several days at Phoenix, Ariz, with his son, Darrel. Millard Corunty Chronicle Rash of Accidents Keep Delta Police Officer Busy John R. Darlington, 57, Delta, Is in the West Millard Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a car-pedestrian accident Dec. 30, 1969, 8:15 p.m. Mr. Darlington was struck by a car driven by Kenneth R. Maxfleld, 19, in the crosswalk on Delta Main. According to Officer O'Niel Lake, Mr. Darlington was carried aproxi-mately aproxi-mately 31 feet from point of Impact. Im-pact. He sustained a broken left leg and bruises and abrasions. Kenneth was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian. Officer O'Niel Lake, Delta Police Po-lice Dept., investigated an acci-eent acci-eent Dec. 23, 1:30 p.m. in the parking park-ing area of D. Stevens Co. According Accord-ing to Officer Lake, Mr. Bud Huff backed into a car owned by Ronald Ron-ald Jensen and parked by Mr. Jensen's Jen-sen's wife behind the store as she was shopping. Damage was minor to both vehicles. No citations were issued. About an hour later Officer Lake investigated another accident at the D. Stevens parking lot. A pickup pick-up of unknown orgin backed into the side of a new Chrysler owned i by Lyle Bunker. Driver of the pickup pick-up left the scene of the accident, Officer Lake said. Investigation is continuing. Officer Lake picked up a 17-year-old soldier from Somerset, Ky. who was AWOL from Ft. Hood, Ky. Dec. 23. The young soldier was heading for Calif. Officer Lake said. Army personnel arrived in Delta Saturday, Dec. 27 and returned return-ed him to Ft. Hood. son visited in Delta with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lem Lovell and family. A vehicle backed Into the side of Chester Corbett's Dodge and left the scene of the accident There are no clues to the Identity according to Officer Lake. Approximate Approxi-mate damage to the Corbett vehicle is $100.00. Officer Lake was called, to the County Roard Barn by Delta City Councilman Arch Barben Dec. 26 to Investigate 22-rifle bullets ricocheting ri-cocheting off the roof of the barn. Officer Lake said two 15-year-old boys were Involved. The Police Department Is often called about young boys with guns. Parents are cautioned that they are responsible for their juveniles' actions.
