Show Mrs. Wm. J. Finlinson Dies in Payson Hospital Mrs. Mary Olive Walker Finlinson, wife of William J. Finlinson, died at the Payson hospital Saturday after a lingering illness. She was born in Oak City June 23, 1879, a daughter of Simeon and Kate Piatt Walker, and was married mar-ried in the Manti temple in 1899. She and Mr. Finlinson moved to Leamigton, where they made their home. She was a member of the Leamington Leam-ington ward, and past president of the Primary, the Relief Society and the M. I. A., and an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. For several years she was chairman of the Leamington Red Cross. She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Leda Great-house, Great-house, Leamington; Mrs. Margie Walker, Pocatello; Mrs. Afton O-born, O-born, Eureka and Mrs. Norda Gardner, Gard-ner, Beaver; three sons, Welby and Walker Finlinson, Leamington, and Lt. George Theron Finlinson, Hill Field; 14 grandchildren; four brothers, bro-thers, W. R. and William Walker of Delta; Lee Walker, Springville, and LeRoy ' Walker, Centerfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Lutie Walt, Lynn-dvl, Lynn-dvl, and Mrs. Clara Stout, Salt Lake City. Funeral services were conducted at Leamington, Tuesday, February 8 at 1 o'clock. Bishop Wm. Bradfield conducted the services which were as follows: fol-lows: Opening song "Though Deepening Deepen-ing Trails", by Oak City choir under the direction of Bro. Eddie Dutson. Prayer- Don Watts. Double Duet "In the Garden." Talk Pres. Joseph T. Finlinson. Violin Solo "Perfect Day" by Norma Hannifin accompanied by Norma Wright. Talk Bishop R. B. Ashby. Duel "I've Read of a Beautiful City." Julia Finlinson and Gene Harris. Tribute Mrs. W. R. Walker. Remarks Bishop Wm. Bradfield. Closing Song "Oh, II Is Wonderful" Wonder-ful" by choir. Prayer Alvin Lyman. Burial was in the Oak City cemetery. |
