Show Final Rites Held Saturday For Ethel Hale Jeffery Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Hale Jeffery were held Saturday at 1 p.m., in Delta First' ward, conducted con-ducted by Bishop M. E. Bird, She died the Tuesday before in a Provo hospital of complications fol lowing injuries suffered in an automobile au-tomobile accident three years ago. The service opened with the song "I Know My Redeemer Lives" by Mrs. Ora Gardner, and prayer by Evan Gardner. Iliff Jeffery of Provo, a nephew, sang "I Need Thee Every Hour." A sketch of Mrs. Jeffery's life was given by a niece, Leora Curtis Cur-tis Cropper. Mrs. Dee Sanford, who had taught school with Mrs. Jeffery Jef-fery paid a tribute to her character. char-acter. Mrs. Norma Hannifin played a violin solo, "That Wonderful Mother of Mine." E. Eugene Gardner was the following fol-lowing speaker ,with a tribute to Mrs. Jeffery's character, and words of comfort to the family. Dr. Bird gave a brief talk followed byb a song, "I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go," by Ileff Jeffery. T. C. Gronning gave the closing prayer. Uurial was in tne ueita cemetery, ceme-tery, where the grave was dedicated dedicat-ed by Patriarch Charles R. Woodbury. Wood-bury. Mrs. Jeffery was born Feb. 9, 1892 in Island, Cassia county, Ida., a daughter of Albert H.-and Mar-intha Mar-intha R. Barrett Hale. She was graduated from the Utah State Agricultural college at Logan, and taught school in Idaho, and Gunnison, Gun-nison, Utah. She came to Delta in 1923 and taught home economics econom-ics in Delta high school for the year before her marriage to Edgar W. Jeffery in June 1927. She had been active throughout her life in the LDS church. She had served a mission in the northwestern north-western states before she came to Delta and filled a short-term mission the year before her marriage. marri-age. She had worked in the Bee Hive, and as a teacher in the genealogical gen-ealogical association. For years she served in the Relief Society, and had been a stake board mem ber and had hemmed many pieces of beautiful embroidery. Surviivng are eight children, Edgar Hale, Clara, Ross, Karl, Ra- chel. Alfred and Albert of Delta, and Mrs. Rose Jones, Hurricane. Step-children are Wallace Jeffery, Mrs. Ruth J. Jensen, Delta and Mrs. Emily J. Eggleston, Salt Lake City. Also surviving are two brothers, broth-ers, -Loyal and Albert H. Hale, of Oakley, Idaho, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah H. Warwood .Burley, Idaho, and Mrs. Xenia H. Egbert, Twin Falls, Idaho. Attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Jona-than Hale and Horace Hale, Black-foot, Black-foot, Idaho; Mrs. Olive Kotter, Brigham City; Bert Curtis, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Curtis, Mrs. Leora C. Cropper, Mrs. Coral C. Boswell, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Hale, Mr. and Mrs. Theron J. Eggleston and Miss Pearl Jeffery, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Artha Gene C. Robinson, Ileff Jeffery, Provo; Mrs. Sara H. Warwood, Bur-ley. Bur-ley. Ida.; Albert H. Hale, Jr., Wil-ford Wil-ford Rasmussen, Redmond;. Mrs. Kent Jeffery, Mrs. Barney Jeffery, Mr. and Mrs. Nielson, Salina; Mr. and Mrs. Charles S.
