First, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lovell went to Blan-riins Blan-riins instead of Reed Nielson and the YMMIA Superintendency )s Grant FinlLnson with Marion Anderson An-derson and Grayson Roper as Counselors. Mrs. Gene Sargent and Mrs. Tamra Baker of Coalville visited Monday with Mrs. Sandra Dewsnup. Mrs. John Lafevre of Tropic visited visit-ed Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Anderso-i over the weekend. Her children spent Thursday and Friday with their grandparents and Mrs. Bryco Finlinson, while Genevieve attended attend-ed UEA at Salt Lake. The family of Mrs. Eldon (Alice) Anderson held a family party for Mrs. Anderson's birthday Saturday evening. Many of her friejids called during the day with best birthday wishes. Mr. and Mrs. Paul K. Walker of Springville spent Tuesday visiting their sisters, Mrs, Ruth Anderson and Mrs. Margaret Roper. They took a trip to Topaz Mt. and hal an enjoyable time. Mr. and rMs. Gordon Nielson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Crandall Nielson visited at Loa Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Don. Anderson, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas K. Pratt attended at-tended UEA and visited friends and relatives. Mr. George Anderson had his grandson, Dennis Prisbry and two friends of Salt Lake visiting for a few days. Mrs. Margaret Roper spent several sever-al days at Hinckley staying with Betty's children while she and Gene were in Salt Lake. Mrs. Ruth Anderson visited several sever-al days at Tooele and Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lovell who had a new baby and lost it. Our sympathy goes to Glenn and wife at this time. The family of Mrs. Dan Schutz visited Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lovell while Merlene was at UEA. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stanton and family of Provo visited Mrs. Max Cox and family Wenesday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. Cox and children visited over the weekend at Provo and Salt Lake with friends and relatives. rela-tives. Mrs. Aneita Anderson returned from visiting her folks at Tridell. Miss Velma Harvey of Salt Lake came with her. The Dean Anderson family and Velma went pinenut-ting pinenut-ting out west Saturday and had a successful trip and a goodtime. The Oak City Orchestra played at Sunset Friday night for a wedding wed-ding reception for Dorothy Lovell, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Lovell. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Lovell and Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Finlinson attended the party at Sunset. , Mr. and Mrs. Eddie M. Jacobson returned Friday evening from Og-den Og-den where they spent the week visiting their son, Orlan and family and to hear a mission report of a grandson, Paul Jacobson, who returned re-turned recently from Scotland, where he spent the past two years. , Miss Carolyn Roper of Tooele and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Roper of Cedar visited Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dutson and Mrs. Libby Roper over the weekend. Mr. Roper is also looking after his farming interests while here. Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson returned re-turned home Saturday. Don met I Ruth in Salt Lake. He has been in Burley, Idaho the past two weeks with his son, Nephi and family assisting as-sisting with the corn and bean harvest. har-vest. : Mrs. Libby Roper celebrated her I birthday on the 9th. Many of her friends and relatives called to see her and gave her some lovely gifts. .Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served to her guests. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Whatcott and family of Beaver visited their folks Mr. and Mrs. Ray Finlinson and I Garth. The Whatcotts had been, in Salt Lake to UEA. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Finlinson returned re-turned home Friday after a ten I day visit at West Jordan with their j daughter Noreen and family. Lee and Noreen brought them home. Mr. and Mrs. Monan Lovell of I Uintah visited their parents, Mr. I andd Mrs. LeRoy Anderson and Mr. I and Mrs. Owen Lovell a few days during the week. Marion Ray Anderson, Russell j and Douglas Lovell visited from Ogden over the weekend. ! Mrs. Helen Wright and daughters i and Mrs. Barbara Black n.nd four I children visited Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Anderson. I Mr. and Mrs. Lem Lovell of Delta j called this way and took Martha and Barbara Anderson and all attended at-tended the wedding reception, of Dorothy Lovell at Sunset. I Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Olson visited their mother Mary E. Anderson a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Milan Jacobson had their daughter Claudia and little son of Salt Lake and Steven- and Alice Nielson and children of Tooele ' visiting for a few days. Miss Jane Finlinson of Kamas visited a few days with her folks-Mr. folks-Mr. and Mrs. Duane Finlinson and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Chamberlain of Orderville visited their brother, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Talbot Sunday afternoon. Richard and Ludean Talbot and children of Nephl were also visiting at the Talbot home Mr. Roger Anderson of Provo visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Anderson Friday and Saturday. Satur-day. Donna took him back to school and visited Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Anderson, in Provo. High Councilman Bruce Love'l and Garth Finlinson were the speakers Pt Sacrament meeting and music was by the choir. It h always good to hear from our own home folks and we are happy to have Bruce Lovell represent our ward on the high council. Mr .and Mrs. Lyman Finlinson were UEA visitors at Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Smith and baby of Provo visited at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ly man Finlinson Saturday aad Sun day. Miss Ranae Finlinson of Salt Lake visited her parents Mr. and' Mr.. Grant Finlinson, Douglas and( Robert. i Miss LaRee Jacobson visited from Cedar with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Maiben Jacobson, Joyce and Peter. Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Peterson of Safford, Arizna visited their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and family Sunday. I Miss Hazel Christensen of Salt Lake visitea her parents, Mr. and' Mrs. Willard Christensen a few. days. Mrs. Hulda Anderson received word of the death of a brother-ln-Inw in Ely, Nev. Hulda left Monday to be with her sister. Mr. and Mrs. William Erickson of Roberta, Idaho visited Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Dutson. They were former mission companions. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Emery Dutson, Mr, and Mrs. LeRoy Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Christensen. Mrs. Calvin Dutson had her aunt and uncle of Modesto, Calif, and her grandmother Stewart of Meadow visit Sunday. Mr. a.nd Mrs. Dean Eatough and girls spent the weekend in Salt Lake with Marilyn, mother, Mrs. Kathrine Hayes and family. I missed getting the news in, last week and I don't have much this week. I entered the Payson City Hospital on the 3rd and had sur-l gery on the 4th. I want to thank j an my many inenas ana relatives for the flowers, cards, letters and viisits. It sure makes one feel better. I got to come home Saturday Satur-day the 12th and home never looked look-ed better. Coral and Joanne had a big "Welcome Home Laura" on the blackboard. They are so good to me. I'm glad we have them in our . home. I Laurence Bradfield stayed over night in Payson last week at the jhome of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Elliot. I They are well and always happy to have friends call on them. She enjoys helping people. We had a nice visit and she says to tell everyone hello. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Overson madei several trips to the hospital. Their' niece, Connie, Ray and Millie's daughter dau-ghter was there the same time I was. I Jay Bradfield of Tooele spent Friday evening and Saturday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Bradfield. He has finished remodeling their home. (It's wonderful to have a carpenter in the family.) I Mr. and Mrs. Jack Denetosie and son, Jeffery of Blanding visited with their sister, Carol last week. The students home from school over the weekend were Patsy and Phillis Nielson, Sandra Benson,' Arlene Dutson, Wendell Nielson, j and Janet Nielson was home from' Mazuna Creek where she teaches school. The program in church Sunday evening was given by the Earl Greathouse family. Talks were given by Mr. and Mrs. Earl Great- house and Greg and Lb-trains , Stephenson, a musical number wasj given by Maxine Nielson. Nada Simpson was released as Councilor j in the Relief Society, Alpha Nielson was put in. Billie Nielson Is president presi-dent with Phyllis Nelson and Alpha Nielson as councilors. A lot of people from Oasis and Deseret attended funeral services in Ely, Nev. Monday for Jim Stub-, bert. Jim and Minnie Peterson Stubbert lived here for many years. Their children were Clayson, Iceland, Ice-land, Jim and twins, Nola and Lola. ' Burial was in the Ely Cemetery. The school students enjoyed their four-day weekend. Only most of them thought the days weqti too fast. Mrs. Kathleen Faris and Micky, of Tooele spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Skeem. Some of them were Creative Homemaklng, Safety in Space Age, Do Space Age Youth Need Families, and Men, Women and Marriage. The theme of the Leadership was "Space Age Families". ! Visiting over the weekend with Veva Dekker was her son Richard, who is attending school at the Y. Mrs. Pat Dalton and daughters, Darhl and Jill, and Mrs. Inez Riding and daughter, Kris, spent Saturday In Provo where they visited with Mrs. Riding's daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fraser Buck and Kimberly. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Riding returned re-turned home last Thursday from Los Angeles, Calif, where they had been visiting with their daughter, daugh-ter, Miss Betty Riding. Ora Gardner arrived home Friday with her son, Lynn.
