Show Services Hold In Fillmore For Kay Peterson Bishop Milton Melville conducted the funeral services held in Fillmore Fill-more Second ward chapel Saturday Satur-day for Katherine (Kay) Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noble G. Peterson of Delta. She died in Reno the preceding Tuesday of a heart ailment, after a short illness. Opening the services was vocal duet, "Going Home," by Mrs. Dean Davies and Mrs. Horace Day. The opening prayer was offered by Grant Canister. Daniel Day sang, "The Rosary," with a violin and piano accompaniment by Joyce Melville and Belva Day. Bishop Melville read the Twenty-third Twenty-third Psalm, which was followed by a favorite song of Miss Peterson's, Peter-son's, "Danny Boy," sung by Mr. Day with violin and piano accompaniment. accom-paniment. Mrs. Aileen Cooper gave a reading, "She Is Just Away," followed by 'an organ and piano duet, by Edith Callister and Mar-jorie Mar-jorie Robinson. The speaker was Bishop Melville who spoke of the friendliness and generosity that characterized Kay's thirty-one years of life, and gave a message to comfort the bereaved family. Closing music was "A Perfect Day," sung by Mr. Day, and the closing gprayer was offered by La Moyne Melville. Burial was in the cemetery at Fillmore, where the grave was dedicated de-dicated by La Moyne Melville. |
