Show New Grandchild ISom in Munich Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hilton received re-ceived a cablegram last week, telling tel-ling of the safe arrival of a new granddaughter, at Munich, Ger -many. She is named Joan, and is a daughter of Lt. Boyd B. Hilton and Bet tie Cannon Hilton. Mrs. Hilton joined LI. Hilton in Germany Germ-any shortly befaore the baby's arrival, ar-rival, flying there from La Guard-ia Guard-ia field, New York. She had been active as a nurse at Salt Lake General and St. Benedict's in Og-den, Og-den, and was with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Cannon, at Magna, while awaiting transportation trans-portation to Germany. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Stephenson were Cedar City visitors last week, visiting Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Stephenson Steph-enson and family. Miss Colleen Mortensen attended Commencemen exercises at the BAG in Cedar City kist week. Mrs. N. E. Ward returned to Delta last week aftr a visit of several weeks in Ariz. Mr. and Mrs. Job Riding visited their daughters, Mrs. Rayda Knight and Mrs. Nell Callister, Saturday and Sunday, on their way from Salt Lake to their home in Hurricane. Going to Wellington, Utah, to attend a wedding shower and dance Saturday for the daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Ide, Lou-ella, Lou-ella, were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald King and small daughter, from Ogden; Mrs. Walter Stoneking, Mrs Frank Webb, grandmother to the bride, Rosa Mae Webb, and Lester Webb. A very enjoyable time was had by all. Mr. and Mrs. Orran Ashby, and children, and Miss Lee, arrived last Thursday from Phoenix, Ariz., They will spend the summer here on the Ashby farm on the North Tract. Noble Peterson, proprietor of the Southern hotel, is at the LDS hospital, hos-pital, Salt Lake, where he had a major operation last Friday. Mrs. Peterson returned from Salt Lake Sunday night, and his sister, Mrs. Millie Callister, of Fillmore, went to the city to be with him. He is reported as making a good recovery. recov-ery. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fetterman, of Pittsburg, Pa., are announcing the birth of a son, May 9. He is a grandson of Mrs. Elizabeth U. Stephenson, of Delta. |
