Show o SOCIAL HOUR CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY PROVES SUCCESSFUL (Contributed) The Christmas Party given by the social hour club on Saturday evening, December 20, at the Club house in South Milford was declared a pleasant pleas-ant event by all that attended. A real live story book Santa Claus appeared in the hall decorated in Christmas red and green to distribute the traditional well-filled stockings from a large, softly lighted Christmas Christ-mas tree. The attendance was unusually un-usually large as sixty-five children were present in addition to the adults. After the following program, the guests were entertained with dancing. 1. Duet: "There is a Green Hill Far Away" Rosabelle Jones and Ruben Jones. 2. Reading: "Christmas Pudding" Jackie Thomas. I 3. Instrumental Duet: Vance Fisher Fish-er and Mrs. Parley Fisher. 4. Reading: "The Night Before Christmas" Jannet Rollins. 5. Song: "If Santa Was my Pa" Aileen Thomas and Ruth Jones. 6. Carols: Children and audience. Coffee and doughnuts wTere served by the president and her assistants. The next meeting of the Social Hour Club will be held on Thursday afternoon January 15 at the club house with Mrs. Horace Palmer and Mrs. Walter Weber as hostesses. Annual An-nual election of officers will be held. Committees in charge of the Christmas Christ-mas party were: Decoration committee: commit-tee: Mesdames McKnight, Baker and Rollins; gift comittee: Mesdames By-bee, By-bee, Jones and Fisher, program committee: com-mittee: Mesdames Rohn, Sautter and Fisher. |
