Show j SANTA TO ARRIVE IN MILFORD NEXT MONDAY Santa Claus will arrive in Milford at 4 p. m. Monday, to mert all the children and pass out Christmas stockings to all the younger children, Mrs. Ferl Bown, president of the sponsoring Lady Lions, informed in-formed The News today. "We want every little child in Milford to get to shake hands with Santa, and receive a big red Christmas stocking," Mrs-Bovvn Mrs-Bovvn said. "He will arrive at the big Christmas- tree on. Main Street at 4 o'clock Monday, Mon-day, and we hope all the smaller small-er children cf the community will be there waiting for him." Mrs- Bown urged parents to ask their older children to give the youngsters the '"front row" when Santa makes his appearance. appear-ance. "The older children have seen Old Saint Nick many times," Mrs. Bown said, "yet sometimes they crowd the small children right out, and the little lit-tle ones often go home crying because they didn't get to really 'meet' Santa Claus. This year, let's give the small tykes plenty cf room." The annual Christmas lighting light-ing contest will be judged Mon-, Mon-, day, Dec. 24th. Mrs. Jerry t Kirk, president of the American Legion Auxiliary, announced the following prizes: Business houses $10.00, first prize; $7.50, second, and $5, third Residential $10 first, $5 second. Names of the judges will not be disclosed, Mrs. Kirk said. |
