Show Heights' team placing high in Bonnet Ball The All Stars in the Cottonwood Heights Bonnett Ball Minor League are doing well in regional play. They were to have played for the championship July 17, but the games were rained out. The game was rescheduled for July 19. The Cottonwood Heights team defeated Holladay in a game played July 13. Serdar then scored the final run for the Blues, going home on an overthrown ball in the top of the seventh inning. The Reds, as mentioned above, broke into the scoring column first with two runs in the second inning, coming off three hits. Pierce was singled in from third for the third tally in the fifth inning. After the Blue team mounted a challenge with a second run in the seventh, the Reds closed the door with a fourth and final run in the bottom of the eighth. While the pitching was good for both teams during the contest the Blue team could not seem to take advantage of scoring opportunities. On several occasions, the Blue team had Red pitchers in trouble with the bases either loaded or men on second and third and couldn't move them around.
