If a bride learns to organize her preparation, it need not be an overSometimes whelming experience.girls, in their eagerness to have their wedding day perfectly planned, make the endeavor more complex than is necessary. There are many books written on wedding planning. Some of them are too lengthy, too detailed, and in to the many cases area in which the bride lives. Further confusion results when she discovers the authorites that sometimes bride and The groom, disagree. therefore, must make the final decisions as to how their particular wedding will take place. As you look for a suitable place to hold your event, file the pertinent information, given you at various places, behind the first sheet. Look at as many places as time permits. No one place can be just right for everyone, and you'll get ideas everywhere you visit. See several different photographer's sample books, obtain price lists, and file them behind the second sheet to aid you in comparing. There are five sources on a wedding gown: (1) Order it through a bridal shop, (2) Have your gown custom-mad(3) Sew your own dress, (4) Borrow it from your friend or wear your mother's, or (5) Rent your wedding gown. The basic decision that must be made is, "Do I want to keep my gown?" or "Will my pictures and a sample of the lace and fabric be enough of a keepsake for me?" Try on gowns both to buy and to rent or to get ideas for sewing. File the information given you behind sheet number three. There are many sources for beautiful fabrics and laces. Most large stores have a fabric department; and there are many shops that deal in fabrics exclusively. AT our wedding center we have a fabric and wedding-lin- e planning department. Write by the sample the bride per yard, the width of the material, the shop where it's available, and other information given you by the salesperson. Also, file the pattern you are using. (Your envelope is beginning to buldge a little now, but everything is together, and your plans are beginning to take shape.) Cut a picture of the tuxedo chosen from a magazine advertisement or obtain one from the tuxedo shop, if available. File this, along with a swatch of the fabric in the tux, to aid you in color coordinating as you plan flowers, cake, etc. At the wedding center you will be shown sample invitations which you can borrow to show the photographer the type of finished invitation you are working toward. This will help him to know what poses are needed and how the picture should be made All these samples with napkins, and other paper accessories can be filed behind sheet number six. If you attend a wedding, and a refreshment is served that appeals to you, write the idea on your planning sheet. Obtain a recipe to be filed, if possible.
