Of course, long distance calling is not expensive. For instance on a Station-toStation call of 100 miles, the day rate for three minutes is only 85 cents. The same Station-to-Station call of 100 miles between 7 p. m. and 8 :30 p. m. is but 65 cents, while between 8:30 p. m. and 4:30 a. m. it is only 45 cents.
