Games, music and refreshments were enjoyed by the following, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Gerard, and Theron Gerard of Taylorsville, Mr. and Mrs. Iris Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. Bazil Eyre, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gerard, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Gerard of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. A. Gerard. • Miss Vesta Lancaster, Melba and Wilma Gardner returned home Wednesday of last week after a vacation visiting in Idaho. Mrs. Hattie Mackey of Taylorsville was the dinner guest of Mrs. Lydia Bateman Thursday after which they visited Mrs. Lizzie Gardner, of West Jordan and Mrs. Leo Palmer of South Jordan. Saturday afternoon Mrs. Lydia Bateman and Lucile Bateman •were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. 0. H. Bateman. Miss Wilma Gardner left Wednesday for the L. D. S. hospital where she is taing a nurses course at the L. D. S. training school. Mrs. Martie Gardner entertained at a quilting at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ellen Gardner one day last week dinner was served to the following guests; Mrs. B. A. Riggs, of Kanab, Mrs. H. C. Gardner, Miss Delila Gard ner and Mrs. Ellen Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Riggs, Sr., of Kanab, left for their home Sunday after spending some time visiting their daughters, Mrs. H. C. Gardner and Mrs. Vern Gardner. Mr. Vern Garaner left with them to be gone three weeks. Mrs. Will Gardner is well on the way to recovery from an injury to her arm which happened over two weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Bateman and son, Keith, motored to Brigham City Wednesday and attended the funeral services of Bernice Johnsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. vVallace Johnson. Eldon, little 9 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wardle met with a very painful accident Sunday when he fell trom a tree and suffered a very badly broken arm at the elbow. He was taken to the St. Marks Hospital where it will be necessary for him to be confined for a week. At last reports he was doing as well as could be expected. Mrs. D. W. McDonald and children and Mrs. Rose Alexander and little daughter, Kathlene, left Wednesday morning for a short visit at Blackfoot, Idaho. • Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nicholson and children joined Salt Lake relatives early Sunday morning and motored to Airport where they bid "Bon Voyage" to Miss Ruth and Leah Harris, of Salt Lake, who left by airplane for a vacation trip to California. The Miss es Harris are sisters of Mrs. Nicholson. Mr. and Mrs. Dahlquist are leaving this week to make their home in Murray. Riggs and two daughters of Idaho, visited Mr. and Mrs. Vern Gardner and Mr. and Mrs. Cliton Gardner last week. They also motored to Arimo, Idaho, and spent a day with Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Sorensen. Mrs. Ross Bateman has been on the sick list for the past week. Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Nordberg and son, Seth, left Cache valley Thursday of last week, where they visited relatives at Richmond and Richfield on Sunday they visited at Logan and motored to Fielding where they spent the afternoon as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ebben Wilcox arriving home late on Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Margetts and Dorothy and sons, Paul and Dick, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Bateman Monday night. A wedding reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Palmer in honor of their daughter, Lottie and Anthony M. Bodell of Herriman who were married last week. Miss Irene Olsen is home after spending the last year at Murray. Miss Melba Johnsen of Beaver spent part of this week guest of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pixton. Mrs. Geneva Crane of Salt Lake was guest of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Olsen Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Olsen and family attended the funeral services of Mr. Lorenzo Howard Beckstead at Riverton Saturday afternoon. A group of friends met at a surprize party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pixton Friday night in hon~r of their daughter, Marys birthday anniversary.
