Travis Jones and Justin Myler were both sleddingtubing down Mantis Dump I Iill, Cy Tidwell was skateboarding, and Trent Murray was snowmobiling down Ephraim Cain on. Justin My ler. senior, had his tube take a turn for the worst when it slid into the bar pit. Ilis left hand slammed into a rock as lie reached out to stop himself. Justin found out, that day. that his wrist was indeed broken; however, the doctor had to wait two weeks, due to swelling, before they could operate. The surgery was successful and the doctor removed Justins cast on January 23th. When asked if he was going to go sledding again he replied, Maybe, but not for a little while. Travis Jones, Junior, was sled racing fellow school mates. Tony Petersen and Kenneth Barclay, on December 31, when the accident occurred. Love is in the air for FBLA by:Cashelle Kjar, FBLA Reporter and Nacho Mama The FBLA officers have been busy the past couple of weeks getting ready for FBLA week, which was Januand getting ready for ary 26-3Valentine's Day. For FBLA week there were various business competitions for students to try their luck in, such as: typing speed tests, business math test, etc. These events were available to any student wanting to participate. To cap off the week, the FBLA dance took place on Friday, January 30th. Students have already filled out Data Match forms for our Valentine activity. The results should be back soon. Each student who filled out a form can buy either or both of two lists. One list will have compatible matches from just your own grade and the other will have matches front the remaining grades. Each list will cost 0, $ 1 .00. You may purchase one list, both lists, or none if you so desire. Besides selling Data Match printouts, our FBLA officers are joining with Snow College's Phi Beta Lambda organization to sell coke bottles filled with Valentine's candy. Please buy one for that special someone! They will cost only $ 1 .50 each. Contact one of the officers (Janice Blackham, Cashcllc Kjar, Erin Rasmussen, Jenny Frame, Shcleen Willmorc) or Mrs. Kjar if you are interested in placing an order for Valentines Day. The Nutcracker by:Pam Bailey Kosan Youth Ballet recently performed their rendition of The Nutcracker, directed by Mrs. Vivian Kosan Bagnall. Many students from Manti High School participated in this production There were two seperate casts so most of the students had several parts Karen Bartholomew, a senior at Manti. danced as The Snow Queen and The Sugar Plum Fairy. Jamie Luster, a soplunorc, performed as Dew Drop-Th- c Queen of Flowers and The Russian Trepak female. Lindsay I hgham, a freshman, play ed the part of Clara and the maid Jana Reeves, a sophmorc, was the Rat King, leader of the mice. Annie Orton, a junior, play ed the parts of a mouse and also a Marzipan Lamb. Pamela Bailey, a fresh man. also played the part of a Marzipan Lamb. Chris Bean, a senior, stepped in and took on the roles of Dew Drops cavalier. The Russian Trepak male, and Clara's father. They all did a great job The performances were overseen by a wonderful technician crew, they took on every challenge and rescued some of the dancers from embarrassment. They were wonderful and did really well This was the 0th annual Nutcracker performed by Kosan Youth Ballet. This was also the last year that Mrs. Vivian Kosan Bagnall danced her part of Marzipan, the lambs shepherdess. There were four performances of this Christmas classic and they all turned out 1 quite well. Lucky Lockers 22, F-- 5, Hey you! Yes you, today may be your lucky day.
