Three teachers here at Manti High School have chosen eight outstanding students for this issue's Knights Noteworthy. Coach Warr has named Meagan VanOrman and Sarah McGarry to this prestigious honor. Coach Warr had this to say about Meagan: Meagan is always willing to put in any extra effort that it takes to make an improvement with herself or the situation. Meagan is hardworking and always tries to make others feel good about themselves. Sarah McGarry. although quiet and reserved, wants to work hard to improve. Coach Warr says. I am most impressed with her desire to be a better basketball player and she has made a vast improvement. 1 have no doubt that vv ith her hard work she will be one of the more advanced players and meet high performance levels. Shaun Lindsay was in Mr. Thompson's computer class last semester. I Ic showed great enthusiasm for computers and a desire to lcam, which is why Mr. T. has chosen him to be a Knight Noteworthy. Shaun is very cooperative in class and always completes assignments on time. Shaun is on the v idco production team and edits the morning Templar News and other v idco projects. Mr. Thompson has also Jenny Wheeler to be a Knight Noteworthy. Jenny was in the guitar class last semester and gained a mastery of the guitar very quickly. Jenny never complained during class and was always attentive. Mr. Th- ompson said, Jenny goes about every day tasks quietly, cicntly, and with a good efifi- - atti- - tude. Ty ler Olson is one of Mrs. Tripp's Knights Notevvor- thy. He is a hardworking stu- dent who goes the extra mile to get things right. Mrs. Tripp says that he is hardly ever absent and always on time to class, Tyler is also very contentious and tries hard to succeed. Mrs. Tripp also chose Amanda Bcirnian, Jonicc Nuttall. and C'hestonStcck to be Knights Noteworthy. Cheston is a very dedicated student, Mrs. Tripp said that he would be an asset to any class and she is certainly right! Cheston works well with other students and contributes to classroom discussions. Amanda Bicrman, al- though quiet sometimes, is a superb student. Like Tyler, Amanda is rarely absent or tardy for class. Every day, she has a pleasant thing to say. Amanda always contributes to class and helps make it enjoy- able. Helping other students and making good use of her time is something that Jonicc Nuttall docs very well. Jonicc is volved in several school and community service projects which keep her very busy, However, Jonicc still makes time to do her homework and do well in class, These eight students arc true winners. They have a lot to offer Manti High School and it is because of them that this school is so great. Their fellow students could definitely profit from the examples of hard work and dedication that these Knights Noteworthy have set. To Meagan, Sarah, Shaun, Jenny, Tyler, Cheston, Amanda, and Jonicc: keep up the good work! |
