Show Page Times-Thursda- March 4,1982 y, Sdiool counselors, vocational educators, and pupil personnel directors throughout Utah are invited to take part this spring in three tours of industrial plants and college campusses. Organized by Dr. Russell Whitaker, guidance specialist at the Utah State Officer of Education, the tours are designed to beter acquaint guidance and vocational personnel with the many post high school resources the Utah and southern Idah o regions have to offer in higher education opportunities ad careers in industrial fields. According to Whitaker, the following schedule has been established: March 9, Tour of National Semiconductor .Cor- Component (Computer poration Tour of Manufacturer); April Southern Utah State College, Cedar City; 22-2- 3, Coleman Industries, and Dixie College, St. George. One hour of recertification credit is being offered to participants in either of tours. Those who take the one-da- y tour may also utilize it for recertification credit purposes. The events are series which began with part of a five-tou-r a visit to Utah Technical College at Sit Lake last December and to the Lagoon the two-da- y Corporation in January. Because of quotas on the number participating, bu busing and housing limitations, and the need to plan travel and meals well in advance, interested persons are urged to register as soon as possible.
