Granite Community Adult Education at Kearns High School is currently offering yoga classes to area residents on Wednesday evenings, 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Minimal equipment is needed for class- cwmgnw Folks of all ages and all levels of ability are enjoying the benefits of yoga. Student ages range from sixteen to eighty years old. Yoga's origin goes back 5000 years. It was initially used to train warriors for battle. Practice greatly enhances one's ability to focus, increase strength and flexibility, boost the immune system, reduce stress and restore the balance of body, mind and spirit. Yoga practice leads to composure and serenity. The discipline incorporates posture, breathing and meditation techniques. Yoga works every muscle, organ and system of the body from the inside out. It has been proven to reverse the effects of aging, restoring mobility and decreasing the debilitating effects of many diseases.
