Pchrson and Hay Shurt-llf. Shurt-llf. Miss Hlcsby rendered a piano solo and Messrs. Henderson, Hammer, Llndsey and lUillcn, with two quartettes. quar-tettes. The trend of the speakers' remarks was mainly argumentative. The speakers defending the Anti-l'ln-Itc party were (!. N. Curtis and E. AV. Wright. Two songs were rendered under the leadership of Luther Hum-ham. Hum-ham. Mr. Curtis directed his remarks re-marks very strongly to overthrow the arguments of the former speakers, while Mr. Wright related a number of sad experiences he had had with plus. lie gave a number of graphic Illustrations Illustra-tions of the evils of pins placed on the blackboard. It is quite probable that Mr. Wright's talk was the most humorous hum-orous of any given In the College for a long time, and undoubtedly he turned the minds of more students to vote the Antl-rinitc ticket than any other student in the College. The College brass baud rendeiert two selections. Dr. 'NV. II. Parkinson, of Logan, vls-Ited vls-Ited the school Thursday and spoke to the students during devotional exercise exer-cise hour. Ills subject, "The Proper Food and Exercise," olfered oppoi-tunlty oppoi-tunlty for excellent advice. Dr. .1. M. Tanner, Superintendent of Church Schools, was a visitor at the College two days last week. The doctor addressed the students in chapel exercises both days. The main point of his talk was "Earnestuess." The regular period for Theology was used In the rendition of a Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing program Tuesday morning. The basket ball team of the class of l!)0.i and the Junior team played a match game of basket ball Tuesday afternoon. The 1!0.Vs proved themselves them-selves the better team. Miss Olive Baker, who left school a few "vecks ago with the Intention of discontinuing the course, has returned and Is doing as energetic work In her classes as before. The class of 11)0.5 gave a class party In the gymnasium Friday night. Refreshments Re-freshments were served and all present pres-ent had an enjoyable time. ' Miss Amy Farnsbeek, who has been absent from school several days on account of sickness In her home, Is again back at school. The students ball given In the gymnasium gym-nasium Tuesday night was patronized both by students and patrons of the college. Miss Moffett. who became suddenly ill while in sewing class last Friday, Is again in school.
