Show Death Takes Several Away , One At Smithfield, Another at Mendon, : and Logan Cases the Third. Ccorgo Done, Sr., ono of the pioneers of SmltliUeld, died few minutes before be-fore 4 o'clock Friday morning, following follow-ing a rattier lengthy Illness of stomach troubles and, complications. He was 72 years of age, had been a resident of Smithfield since 1800, and actively Identified with all that has gone to make the growth of the northern north-ern town. By his energy and frugality ho made a financial success of farming -. and at his death leaves his family in AZp good circumstances. Mr. Done was ""y generally recognized as a man of sterl-" sterl-" ing worth, ono who would rather be wronged than wrong another. He was honest, possessed an unfailing good i temper that m?do him appreciated by those with whom ho came in contact, and his death brings sadness to the hearts of manv. The funeral service will bo held In the Smithfield tabernacle Sunday at 3 p. m to which all are Invited. George Done, Sr was born In Tunns-dale, Tunns-dale, England, March 18, 1831. At the age of fifteen he, two brothers and a widowed mother were left to make their way alone, In 1853 George and one brother came to Utah In the ! Cyrus H. Whcelock company. They then made arrangements for the Immigration Im-migration of the mother and brother, these coming to Utah In 1855. The I family settled at Union Fort, Sail Lake .K county. In 1858 Ueorgo Done married Alice Smith, and to them twelve child- len were born. Five daughters and three sons survive their (father. The deceased's posterity numbers Bfty-one " granchlldrcn, thlrty-threo of whom are alive; together with live great-children. great-children.
