Show A LADY'S VIEW OF CACHE. Editor Leader: - Will you permit me to express in brief through the columns of your paper something of my appreciation of Cache Valley? For mountain scenery, I have never seen it surpassed in beauty, and were there only a lake in view I should think the landscape quite completed for the artist's brush. The Temple at Logan seems to be quite a centre of attraction and an impending piece of architecture as well; and should it be finished in white with the mountains for a back ground, it would be seen for miles around and its beauty enhanced by the pleasing contrast. I always look forward to my visits at Logan with a great deal of pleasure and have never been disappointed in its realization; so I must say God speed the little town where I have been made so happy in the pleasant family of my old time friend Mrs. Geo. [George] Thatcher. With good wishes for the success of the little paper you are so ably editing, I remain, yours with respect, Charlotte I. Gabbe. Logan, May 26, 1881. |
