Show MEETING OF THE STOCKHOLDERS of the U.O. Foundry. In accordance with notice given the stockholders of the U.O. Foundry convened in the 1st Ward school house, B. M. Lewis, presiding. The meeting upon being called to order, was opened with prayer by G. L. Farrell, after which the order of business was taken up as follows, viz: Calling of the roll; when a majority of the stock was duly represented, and the holders answered to their names. The question of how the body should vote was decided on a motion by ?? Bell that the voting be done viva voce, which was duly carried. The annual statistical and financial report of the company's business was presented, and upon being read, was fully ventilated and discussed, and upon motion of G.L. Farrell, was accepted. The statement showed a net gain of $216.86, or about 2 6-10 per cent for the current year, 1880. O.C. Ormsby then stated that the board duly declared a dividend of 5 per cent of which 2 4-10 per cent was to be taken from the reserve fund; the said dividend to be paid either in labor or stock, as the stockholders may decide, and the stockholders [unreadable line] thirty days. The election of officers for the ensuing year, resulted as follows, viz: B.M. Lewis, C. B. Robbins, O.C. Ormsby, T. R. Ricks and R. Croft being placed in nomination successively, were severally unanimously declared elected as the Board of directors; J.E.Carlisle as Secretary and Jos.[Joseph] Wilson, Treasurer. G.L. Farrell moved that a vote of thanks be tendered the officers of the company for the faithful performance of their duties, which was duly carried. G.L. Farrell moved that the action of the board be reference to the amount of the dividend declared, be sustained by the stockholders, which was duly carried. Samuel Holt then moved that the proceedings and minutes of this meeting be published in the Logan Leader, which was carried. After which it was moved and carried to adjourn and stand adjourned until the next regular meeting of the stockholders. Benediction pronounced by H.K.Cranney. L. Hanson, Sec. [Secretary] B.M.
