Show FASHION SPRAYS.<br><br> The yellow daisy has been introduced by [section unreadable] Grecian coil or in braided loops when riding.<br><br> THERE are half a dozen new kinds of satin among the recent importations.<br><br> A NEW ribbon, called Merveilleuse, has a changeable center, with wide border.<br><br> THE latest design for a fancy comb for the hair consists of a Cupid's bow and arrow.<br><br> WHITE suits, never more fashionable than at present, are trimmed with ivory white lace.<br><br> PLAITED and shirred panels are preferred to those that are plain for an overdress.<br><br> GAINSBOROUGH hats, ornamented with long plumes, are again fashionable for carriage use.<br><br> BONNETS are trimmed with feather designs which take the form of flowers, thistles, butterflies, and even rosettes, all brilliantly colored.<br><br> SIDE and handle satchels have the outer side composed entirely of feathers from the neck of the peacock, the pheasant, or other gayly-plumed birds.<br><br> HATS of yellow straw, lined with crimson silk, are carried by picturesque young ladies, who wear Tuscan hats and wild roses, and very pretty they are, too.<br><br> THE scarlet cloaks, already worn are showy enough, but what will be said when the sulphur-colored cloaks that they are now wearing in Paris shall arrive here?<br><br> THE ambers and other translucent yellows found in stained glass are now used in dress goods, and very elegant colors they are, although not particularly becoming.<br><br> GOWNS of white India crepe, embroidered with flowers and trimmed with jet and silver spangles, are much worn in Paris. A scarf, gracefully disposed, always accompanies them. |
