ON Monday last as the freight train was coming this way from Ogden it was thrown from the track about a mile this side of Deweyville. One car was completely wrecked and several others somewhat injured but can be repaired. The merchandise on the train was not injured and reached its destination in safety. A PIECE of ground containing about eight acres, situated in the lower part of the town at Richmond, has been selected for tithing office premises. A new tithing office has been commenced, and the ground will furnish abundant room for a large barn, carral, slacks, &c., and these improvements will be pushed ahead vigorously. The old tithing premises, near the centre of the town, were not sufficiently commodious and were considered too much exposed to the danger of fire. |
