Show DRAMATIC. A dramatic society, to be known as the Logan Amateur Dramatic Club, was organized in this city recently, with Truman O. Angell, Jr., as president, R. Kirkham as vice president, besides several minor officers, including a secretary and treasurer. The club numbers about twenty members, and comprises the best dramatic talent in Logan. It is the intention of the members of the club to study and train until they shall become proficient as exponents of life on the public stage. They also purpose favoring the public with dramatic entertainments from the present time on as frequently as circumstances will permit. We heartily wish the club success. The drama may be made a public educator and refiner and we trust that, at length, Logan has an organization that will do its utmost to foster it in our midst, and we are sure that we have a public that will not be slow to recognize and reward merit. Our next need is a building suitable and sufficiently commodious for a theatre. The present one is entirely inadequate both in size and adaptation. |
