During this time a nation wide campaign will be staged to install or repair rural mail boxes, with the idea of dependable service and beautification rather than detracting from the landscape. Postmaster A. Carlos Schow urges all those in the community and outlying areas to make a special effort to bring their mail boxes up to acceptable standards. He points that in many localities members of 44-Clubs, Future Farmers of America, and other rural organizations have contributed many hours of their time to voluntarily improve the rural mail boxes of their sections. As more and more people move from cities to areas served by rural delivery, the proper upkeep of rural boxes increases in importance. Radio, television and national magazines have aided in the crusade. "Is your box a 'lazy leaner' or a Box of Beauty?" is the key questCheck if ion to ask yourself. your box needs sprucing up. In many cases where the patron is too old or sick to care for his own box, the postmaster will take on the responsibility himself. DUP Camps Slate May-1- Mr. and Mrs. Ray F.
