Show , Municipal Elections. Tho manner of conducting municipal elections seems but littlo understood though less than a month hence. It occurs oc-curs on tho Tuesday next following the first Monday in November, tho same as y all other elections, and .is under the ,'. ' supervision and and must be paid for by ,f .$, the respective city councils and town " ,(F$? boards whero tho election is hold. ; , The registry agents are appointed by S tho board of county commissioners, but ' ji.' . are paid for by the city or town in which I , ' '' services are rendered at not to exceed 3 p6rday. There aro only two days of J registration, the first and third Tuesdays jk prior to an olection, between-8 o'clock t ' ' a in. and 0 o'clock p. m., at some des- i ' ignated office. Notices for this regstration should now be prsted. Tho judges of election for each voting precinct in a town or city are appointed by tho city council or town board of said city or town, at least two of whom shall ln nf nnnoaito political warties. i.e. j ' s there ran not bo more than two of one ', ' party. Tho judges aic also paid by the city at not to exceed $3 per day. Tho ' judges have to keep open the polls from x 7 o'alockin the morning until 7 o'clock in tho evening. Thorecordera or town derks must furnish tho ballots and necessary stationary. I Any paj ty which at the last election cast two per cent or more of the total 1 vote of tho city or town is entitled to have its candidate on the official ticket, "by proporly filing the same with tho city recorder or town clerk ; but whero a now party is aiarted or where a new ticket is put up outside of the regular parties, such as the non-partisan move- ment for example, then at least fifty ; citizens of the city or town must Bign tho certificate of nomination. The said certificate must contain the names ot tdj those nominated for office, and the signers must take upon themselves a political nmni' in not more than five words. The signers havis to give their nomo and residence, and take an oath before anyofiicerduly authorized totako acknowledgements, that they aro voters u within said city or town.
