Country Fair days committee members were Brent and Mary Staffeur, Ed and Lee Hines, Blaine and Leah Land, and Bob and Linda Jones. Posse Night on Aug. 9 was directed by posse leaders, Terri George, ,Wayne Stark and Beverly Thomas. Former posse members were defeated in barrels and poles competition by junior posse Stephanie Poll, Brad Stark, Natalie Peak and Jessica Harris took on the city council in a wa-ter balloon race and won. Junior Posse won poles and barrels competiion against their parents. The jackpot race paid cash and was won by Amber Poll in the age group and Jennie Flinders in the 1 age. Barrels for 'the 22 and over the hill gang was taken by Bob Flinders. Selected as first and second attendants to Miss Tingey were Gidget Thompson of Lay-to- n and Michelle Taylor of Farmington. Miss Tingey, 18, will be a senior at Viewmont High School in the fall. The 1977 Little Miss Utah and member of the Tingey Sisters singing duet, she will be competing in the Miss Utah State Fair pageant in Salt Lake in September and next years Miss Utah pageant. Miss Tingey 4s the daugther of Ron and Ka- en Alvey of Centerville. 3 Miss Thompson, a hazel-eye- d brunette, will be in her senior .fyear at Layton High School in Ijthe fall.
