Show Lakeside Review, Wednesday, Feb. 9, 1983 WX, Bountiful; Roy Lose Falcons, Lancers, Darts, Vibes In Clearfield vs. Roy The Clearfield girls basketball team kept their record clean as they went to Hoy and came away with a 5 victory. Clearfield had been able to maintain a 5 to 10 point lead throughout most of the first 3 quarters. Then in the fourth, the Royals went into the press and for the first time in the game the 36-3- Falcons were bothered. The Royals were patient with their offense while the Falcons were making bad passes which Roy continually picked off. With 4 minutes left in the game the Falcons were still up by 7 but their shooting was cold. Roy continued to play great defense and with just 2 minutes left found themselves down by only 2 points. Roy just kept coming after us all game but that last quarter their defense just shut us down,, said Falcons Coach Margo Jones. Its pretty hard to win games when you only score 4 points in a quarter.
