Its where David, a shrimp of a guy meets this behemoth and slays him. Well, in this case, Goliath simply walked over the top of David and left him in the ground still holding his rock slinger. At least it looked that way as Davis fell to the Woods Cross Wildcats It was obvious what Davis had to do: collapse on Housekeeper The Darts did that with some amount of success, but the smaller Davis team was slowly pushed out of the way as the timber from Woods Cross joined in the rousing chorus of the outside shooters to leave Davis lost in the forest. Davis, which finds itself short in just about every catagory except desire, now finds itself with 58-3- 3. 32-1- 9. In the second quarter, 'the Leopards went up as much as 14 points on the cold Vikings. Now Viewmont has to regroup quickly as they host Woods Cross this Friday. If they had problems getting inside on East, they may not get past the line with the Wildcats unless they make themselves more aggressive. mid-cou- rt 26-M- 29-M- ar 24-Fe- b. Clearfield vs. .. chance, Bonneville WASHINGTON TERRACE After falling behind early in the game the Clearfield Falcons used a hard nosed pressure defense to climb back into contention here Friday night. But it wasnt enough as they fell to the Bonneville Lakers 2 in a region one clash. The Falcons trailed 8 at the end of the first period, but went to work on the Lakers with a full court defense, which created a multitude of BHS turnovers. During the third frame the Falcons found themselves down by only three points with the ball on several occasions, but couldnt get the score any closer. The Laker size then asserted itself once again to hold Clearfield at bay to secure the win. That was the key to the game, the fact that we got behind early, said Falcon head coach Craig Hansen. We felt we had to stay in the game in order to have a chance to win and we didnt do that, although I thought we had a great chance of winning the game in the second half. It was our inability at the freethrow line when we had a 19-- the disappointed coach continued. There in that stretch where we were close we came to the line five times with an opportunity to make 10 points and we came away with zero. Its kind of funny because that is what won the game for us last week. The worst damage to the Falcons was inflicted by forward Sie Moore, who splashed in 32 points for the game. The only other Laker in double figures was forward Gene Stark with 15. Moore had a great game, said Hansen. We needed to slow him down and we didnt do a very good job of it. I was disappointed in how many times we sent him to the free throw line. He scored ,14 points from the line. The Falcons were led in scoring by guard Mark Wilson with 21 counters before fouling out tote in the contest. He was joined in double figure score by Mike. Anderson with 12. Clearfields record drops to 1 in league play and await an important meeting with preseason favorite Layton next Friday. The Lancers are also and according to Hansen the region title is still up for grabs by anyone. all-sta- te per person party of 4 Package includes: ASK ABOUT OUR 2 ISLAND PACKAGES Los from Roundtrip airfare Angeles to Honolulu 8 days, 7 nights of luxurious accommodations Flower lei greeting All airport transfers OAHUMAUI 424 per person party of 4 OAHUKAUAI.. 421 per person party of 4 ' 582-252- 5 INDEPENDENT flight sepvtoes 1-- 1 V-- 1455 South 2300 East Salt Lake City, Utah p' Hours: 8 AM to 6 PM - Sat: 9 AM to Prices May Change Without Notice 1 PM MIKE VANDEGRIFT TENNIS MANAGER VIEWMONT HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE 1 SINGLESDOUBLES WESTMINSTER COLLEGE QUALIFIED FOR NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP NEW FINALS 1975 COACHED TENNIS TEAM 1979 8 YEARS EXPERIENCE .
