The mother is the former Connie Herndon v&. of Kaysville. The baby weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz and was named Jeffrey James. At home are two sisters Cindy and Corey and a brother Alex. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James Herndon of Kaysville and Mrs. Madge pK. CELSO HAS waited patiently for the snow to fall so he could experience seeing it snow for the first time. What a thrill on Friday morning. Jan. 30, when he woke up to the snow storm and the white cover knowing at last he had a chance to learn to ski. a goal he had set for his stay in Utah. Celso arrived in Utah on Aug. 19. 1980 with a group of students on the PIE ( Pacific Exchange) program. He is from Soacarlos. Brazil. There were 26 students from Brazil on the program coming to the states, six were from Celso's home town. He has a cousin who was sent to Riverside. Calif. CELSO IS making his home with Dee and Marion Wright. 821. Mutton Hollow Road. Medical Management Services, Inc., a locally based convalescent hospital management company, was acquired by Care Enterprises of Fullerton, Calif. He attended the Rose Parade. visited Disneyland and other places of interest in California. ly pleased There is no homework assigned, however, they only have one test each term in each class and they do have to study prior to the test. School courses are much harder than here. There are no extra curriculum activities and no sports at the school. THE MAIN sport played in Brazil is soccer. Celso does a lot of swimming in the family pool. At Davis he enjoys watching football games and has learned to play tennis. A JUNIOR at Davis High School, it was difficult at first for him to understand English, but in a short time he had readily picked it up and is doing very well now. Mrs. Forbush was the former Clydene Spencer of Kaysville. The grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Forbush. Farmington, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Spencer, Hemet, Calif. The are Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Forbush of Monroe. Ralph Freeman of Ririe. Ida., and Mrs. Mada Woodland. The Mark Ostlers are greeting a baby daughter into their home at 337 West 350 South. Kaysville. This is their first child and was born on Jan. 19 at the Davis North Medical Center, weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz.. and will be named Audrey Jean. The new mother is the former Jill Ann Keller of Salt Lake City. The grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ostler. Layton and Mr. and Mrs. Keller. Salt Lake City. I Red Flasher Light Stolen By Vandals ts La-Ve- A red flasher light which aids helicopter pilots landing at the Davis North Medical Cenhas been stolen by ter helo-pa- d vandals. HOSPITAL officials said the theft should not seriously impair helicopter landings at the hospital since the pad is HE ADDED, "I just hope the thieves responsible will some day need the serv ices of the hospital helicopter." Helicopters land regularly at the Layton facility to transport emergency patients. The helicopters are based out of Salt Lake City. w marked by other lights. CLASS C beer licenses were okayed for the Rocking R Lounge and the Sportsman Cafe and Lounge. In studying Rocking R owner Rod Palmers request for a license, the council was told by the police department that qualified from obtaining a beer license because of previous violations. BASED ON the fact that only the five years prior to the beer license request are studied for legal infractions, the council voted to approve the request. In a similar situation later in the council meeting, the body agreed to grant a beer license to Sportsman Cafe and Lounge owner Kay Miles. they should review the establishment's record prior to the five-yeprobation period. THE COUNCIL was told that the police department had found "no blemishes on Mr. AFTER GOING into an executive session, however, the council emerged unanimously in approving the license.
