AS THE ROCKET was launched from the parking lot of the Kaysville Fire Station on Tuesday, a gust of wind came Walt Meacham, Kaysville City Power assists Kaysville Elementary School 5th graders Dan Stephenson and Nephi Harvey rescue a model rocket caught in the trees. and swept it up high into the top of the trees near the school building. Attempts to rescue the rocket by some of the boys and the schools custodian failed and one boy was up in the tree and couldn't get down. Miss Kristi McCloud, fifth grade teacher, could see tears appearing over the loss of the rocket, as well as getting the boy out of the tree without an accident. WALT MEACHAM came to the rescue as all of the children watched from their school window of the rescue mission. The rocket and parachute was a special Christmas gilt built by Nephi and his brothers and was a prize possession. Needless to say Nephi and his friend. Dan Stephenson, had broad smiles as Mr. Meacham gave them the undamaged rocket. THE RCXKET study was a school project conducted by Miss McCloud, np |
