The featured event gets underway April 3 and 4 in Clearfield. From Davis, Flint sprinted off to USU where he enjoyed four successful years in track and field. His suggestion came at the same time that the Weber County-Ogde- n city annual meet was Hurry Ini going on and getting plenty of publicity. The two coaches I talked to, were very positive about the meet, said Flint. It was the same weekend that the Provo Icebreaker meet was going on and after finishing in that event, we felt we could put together just as good an event or better. EVERYTHING seemed to be pointed towards the positive direction. After getting approval from both the school and district administrations. Flint has to come up with a good weekend in 1981. The general feeling among the coaches was not to have it the same weekend as the Iceb-reak- Invitational but perhaps the weekend of the Dixie Invitational. Costs have soared for teams who make the long trip down south. THE WEEKEND designated was finally approved and for the first time in years all Davis County School, both the boys and the girls could now compete against each other. The Davis event will build its own uniqueness, just as the meet in Ogden and the Utah County meets have done for the high schools in their respective areas.
