Show Life-Long Resident 01 Summit Dies, Funeral Services Held John Farrow, 83, died at his home in Summit Sunday morning, morn-ing, March 4, 1962 of causes in cident to age. He was born at Summit July 27, 1878, a son of Obadiah and Francis Alien Farrow. He married mar-ried Lucy Bradshaw on Fob. 27, 1900 in the St. George tomnU She died Jan. 5, 1910, and "he married Mrs. Sarah Randall Harfield of Provo on Nov. 28, 1947. She passed away in May of 1956, and he married Mrs. Julia Ju-lia Bohunin of Salina on April 25, 1960. Mr. Farrow was a High Priest In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and has been an active member of the church. He had held the office of secretary secre-tary in the YMMIA and also counselor In the same organization. organiza-tion. He had been a ward teacher teach-er throughout most of his life, and has spent the past few winters win-ters working in the St. George LDS Temple. Survivors Include his widow and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Jack (Florence) Berry and Mrs. Lillian Forther-Ingham, Forther-Ingham, Cedar City; Mrs. Ralph (Lucy. Green, Mrs. Boyd (Alice) Walker, John M., Lyle B., and Raymond L. Farrow, Summit; Mrs. Chester (Marie) Benson, Parowan, and Douglas Farrow, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Also surviving surviv-ing are 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted in the ward chapel Tuesday, Tues-day, March 6, at 2 p. m. Mrs. Sylva Stapley furnished the prelude and postlude music and was accompanist for the Singing Mothers, who sang 'That Beautiful Land" and "Now The Day Is Over." Stake President Howard D. Knight sang "O My Father," and a granddaughter, Shirley Farrow played a piano solo. Talks were given by Bishop Ivan Dalley and Alma Lawrence. Mrs. John Farrow gave a historical histor-ical sketch of his life. Oscar 1. Hulet gave the opening prayer and Otto Dalley the dedicatory prayer. |
