VERNILE PRINCE Elma Lynne Sandberg and Vernile Prince united in ceremony at St. George Temple Wedding rites solemnized in the St. George Temple united Miss Elma Lynne Sandberg, Cedar City and Vernile Prince, New Harmony in marriage, June 14. President Rudger At-Kin At-Kin officiated at the double ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. James Calvin Sandberg are the bride's parents, par-ents, and Mr. and Mrs. Darce M. Prince are the parents of the bridegroom. Following the ceremony a luncheon at the Sugar Loaf Cafe was hosted by the bride groom's parents. A reception honoring the newlyweds was held in the Cedar West Stake House that same evening. The bride greeted the guests in a white empire gown with a high neck line, lace bodice accented with tiny pearls, and long sleeves with a lace inset. Matching lace was also on the skirt and on the train which hung from the shoulders. Her shoulder length veil was attached at-tached to a dainty pearl rhine-stone rhine-stone headpiece. A bouquet of an orchid surrounded with yellow-centered carnations completed the bridal picture. Miss Colleen Sandberg, the bride's sister was maid of honor. hon-or. The other bridemaids were Misses Joyce Sandberg (a sister sis-ter of the bride), Pat Mathews, Sharon Stephens, and Carolyn Pickering; Mrs. John (Sonja) Black, and Mrs. Norman (Ilene) Johnson. The attendants wore orchid floor-length dresses with double , puffed sleeves fashioned fash-ioned from mirro-mist and trimmed with white lace. They carried bouquets of large yellow yel-low mums accented with yellow yel-low velvet ribbon. . Best man was Nolan Adams, Ad-ams, and Lowell Prince, Weston West-on Hall, Doyle Whitehead, and Gary Gough ushered. Both Mrs. Sandberg and Mrs. Prince wore street length dresses dres-ses of bright yellow accented with a purple orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs. Nyal Miller acted as host and hostess at the reception while Mrs. David Peterson presided at the guest book. Mrs. Milton Hyatt played organ music to set the mood for the recepion. Helping at the gift tables were Mrs. Ron Haider, Mrs. John Spevak, Mrs. Danny Haycock, Hay-cock, Mrs. Ralph Webb, Mrs. M. G. Memmott, Mrs. Paul Woodard, Mrs. Skip Robb, and Miss Carol Petty. The refreshments were , served by Misses Deanna J Prince, Kathy Carlson, Jill ; Hamilton, Cindy and Terry Webb, Arlene and Debbie Ash. down. Helping Mrs. Wanda Cox in the kitchen were Mrs. Keith Bess, Mrs. Harold Thompson, Mrs. Robert Linford, Mrs. Burton Bur-ton Wrhite, Mrs. Meade Forsyth, For-syth, Mrs. Leland Carlson, Mrs. Mark Robinson, Mrs. Paul Warby, and Mrs. Willard Hamilton. Ham-ilton. The bride chose a navy blue linen with a bodice of white lace end embroidered yellow daisies for her going away costume. Five days were spent honey, mooning in Cedar Canyon and at Zion National Park. The bride graduated in Elementary El-ementary Education from CSU. The bridegroom has fulfilled a Southern Australian Mission for the LDS Church. He has also received a 2 year technical techni-cal certificate in electronics from SUSC. He will continue his studies at BYU. Pre-nuptial courtesies included in-cluded a bridal shower given by Mrs. Skip (Tammy) Robb and Mrs. Norman (Ilene) Johnson. |
