Neilson in double-ring ceremony Miss Ann Holmes became the bride of Vaughn C. Neil-son Neil-son in a double ring ceremony in the Holmes residence on March 6. Bp. Richard C. Morris Mor-ris officiated. Parents of the young couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holmes Hol-mes and Mr. and Mrs. Monte Neilson, all of Cedar City. The newlyweds wore honored hon-ored at a reception in the Cedar Ce-dar West Stake House that same evening. The bride's long white gown of dolustered satin featured an empire waitline, full skirt, and floor length train. Lace flowers and seed pearls accented the bottom of the gown and made up the bodice. The elbow length veil attached at-tached to a lace tiara was also al-so trimmed with lace and seed pearls. She carried a corsage of roses and stephanotis with a detachable orchid corsage. Maid of honor was Miss Kaye Holmes, and Charlotte Mitchell, Carolyn Anderson, Marilyn Batt, and Helen Holmes were bridesmaids. Flower girls were Misses Belinda Be-linda and Lori Neilson. They wore long pink dresses with fold sleeves. Ribbons accented the empire waistlines and wrists. They carried nosegays of carnations and rosebuds in pink and white. Curt Neilson was best man, and ushers were Danny Mitchell, Mitch-ell, Lee Barton, Donnie Adams and Bill Hart. Mothers of the bridal couple wore floor length pink crepe dresses with empire waistlines and orchid corsages. The bride chose a red dress with matching shoes and scarf as her going away costume to wear as the newlyweds left for their Las Vegas honeymoon. honey-moon. The bride graduated from Cedar High School and attended attend-ed SUSC. She is now employed employ-ed at the Telephone Co. The bridegroom also graduated grad-uated from Cedar High and has served two years in the Armed Forces. One year was in Vietnam. He is now employed em-ployed in Cedar City. |
