This cascading waterfall in Zion National Park will be an extra attraction for the thousands thous-ands of people who will flock to the park for Easter Sunday Sun-day activities. Park officials have been working to prepare the park for this early influx which opens the season at the internationally famous park. This waterfall is located at the Temple of Sinawava. Spring Surge of Travel to Zion Park Foreseen with Arrival of Easter Easter Sunday always marks the beginning of inten-i inten-i sive visitors use in Zion National Park and this Easter of 1958 should be no exception. The stage is set for visitor enjoyment of Zion Canyon. Records of the past show that people flock to Zion on this day for as many as 4,000 visitors vis-itors have come on on Easter Sunday in recent years. Large school groups from California and northern Utah have arrived and settled in the campgrounds fur a week's stay. The grandeur of Zion Is associated as-sociated with Easter and considered consid-ered by many as of special significance sig-nificance and Inspirational value. ' The 9.03 inches of moisture since Jan. 1 has given Impetus to a lush vegetable growth on the valley floor. The trees are bursting forth In a beautiful new green, and early spring flowers are coming out in abundance. abun-dance. The waterfalls of Zion have been putting on remarkable remark-able displays In recent weeks cading water. They should be at their best this coming Easter. Superintendent Paul R. Franke reports that the National Park Service will do all It can to care for the visitors who come to the park during the Easter vacation. The f loilities of the Grotto and South campgrounds are available availa-ble for camping and picnicking. The lower trails of the park are in excellent condition and the Weeping Rock trail has been reconstructed re-constructed and Is now ideal for visitor use. This Is a self-guiding nature trail for which pamphlets pam-phlets are available, as is the Canyon Overlook trail. These provide opportunities for visitors to learn more of the natural phenomena of the park. New faciliUes are being provided at the Temple of Sinawava and Include In-clude a comfort station and drinking fountains.
