Marjorie Carol Roberts, daughter of former residents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Roberts, exchanged vows with George Edward Schindler in a ceremony cere-mony at Reno, Nev. recently. Gown was made by Mrs. Roberts. Wedding vows were exchanged recently by Miss Marjorie Carol Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Reed Roberts of Reno, Nev., former Cedar City residents, t.nd Mr. George Edward Schindler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Schindler, Schind-ler, also of Reno. Blsnop Oliver F. Smith of the LDS Church officiated at the double dou-ble ring ceremony which was performed at the spacious home of Bishop and Mrs. Lenard D. Robinson. Members of the family and a few personal friends witnessed the ceremony. The couple stood before a mirrored mantel, with tall cathedral baskets of gladioli gladi-oli and pink daisies banking the sides. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Gwynne Roberts and Mrs. Byron (Beverly Pace) Eddington. Little Miss Jane Edith Smart, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Mr. Schindler was assisted by his brother, Ross Schindler, Jr., as best man. After the ceremony the party retired to the home of the bride's parents where a garden reception was held. The wedding party received re-ceived guests on a canopied patio. pa-tio. Baskets of gladioli, carnations carna-tions and daisies graced the spacious spa-cious lawn. The bride wore an exquisite gown of white imported chantil-ly chantil-ly lace trimmed with iridescent sequins. It was fashioned with a fitted bodice, a Queen Anne collar, wrist length pointed sleeves. The full length hooped skirt featured lace scalloped net insets in the back and front. A coronet of pearls held a waist length veil of white Illusion and she carried a cascade bouquet of tangerine color miniature carnations car-nations and white stephonitis. Her attendants all wore Identical Identi-cal dresses of pink nylon mesh over taffeta with cummerbunds of taffeta and sashes of varying tangarine colors. The bride's gown and the attendant's at-tendant's dresses were all made by Mrs. Roberts. ! After the reception the young couple left for a wedding trip to Lake Tahoe and to San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Calif. They are at home in Reno, but will soon leave for San Francisco where Mr. Schindler will attend Hastings College of Law for the next two years. |
