Show Former Teacher Dies; Services To Be Held Saturday A former member of the faculty fa-culty of both the Branch Normal Norm-al School and Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural College in Cedar City, H. Claude Lewis, 94, died at his home in Provo, Tuesday, June 6, following a fall. Lewis was born in Nephi December 25, 1872, a son of Theodore Beldon and Euprena Sercppa Coray Lewis. He married mar-ried Klla Walker, who survives him. The former teacher was affiliated af-filiated with BNS, now College Col-lege of Southern Utah, from 1900 to 1904 and later joined the faculty after the institution institu-tion had been changed to BAC, from 1917 to 1924. Survivors include his widow, Provo; a son, Beldon W. Lewis, Cedar City; and four daughters: daught-ers: Mrs. Wm. (Afton) Pfeifer, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Claude (Mildred) Hinkley, Provo; Mrs. Milton (Jane) Swenson, Salt Lake City and Marporie Lewis, Provo. Funeral services will be held in the Cedar Eighth Ward Chapel Saturday, June 10 at 12 noon, Friends may call at the Spilsbury Mortuary in Cedar Ce-dar City Friday evening from 7 to 9 p. m. and Saturday from 11 a. m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Cedar City cemetery. |
