Show Eliza JaneW. Orton Dies at Union, Oregon Home Funeral services were held in the Union, Ore., LDS chapel on Friday, July 3 for Mrs. Eliza Jane Warren Orton, 87, Parowan native, na-tive, who died in the Oregon community on Wednesday. July 1, following a lingering illness. Mrs. Orton was the widow of Joel H. Orton, who died in Union on March 5 of this year. The deceased was born in Parowan Paro-wan Feb. 8, 1872 to William S. and Ann Fowler Warren. She was married to Mr. Orton in Parowan, Par-owan, July 12, 1892 with the marriage mar-riage being solemnized in the St. Georeg LDS Temple later. Following their marriage, the Ortons lived in Parowan for a short time, then moved to Oregon where they lived at LeGrande, Cove and then Union. They came back to Parowan and resided for some time in the 1930s and then returned to Union again. Surviving are three sons: Alva W., Eagle, Idaho; Osmond W Warden, Wash.; Warren, Portland, Port-land, Ore.; daughters, Mrs. Julia Maxfleld, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Wllmerth Ward and Mrs. Elma Wilde, both of Union; 34 grandchildren grand-children an'd 51 great-grandchildren. |
