Show Ttlerle Smith Funeral Services Conducted Fuiral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Cedar Fifth Ward Friday Fri-day afternoon for Merle Mitchell Smith. 42.- Cedar City resident,! who died Monday, Feb. 22 of a J heart attack while on the Job at the Iron tnlnes west of the city i Prayer at the mortuary prior to the services was by George Manning. Man-ning. Invocation at the services was by Morris Slalk and the benediction benedic-tion was by James Heywood. Dedication of the grave at the Cedar City cemetery was by Albert Al-bert Clark. Services were under the direction direc-tion of Bishop Homer Jones of the Fifth Ward. Prelude and postlude music was furnished by Cllve Hartman. Speakers at the services In-luded In-luded Harry Lunt, and Charles R. Hunter with remarks by Bishop i Jones and Mr. Heywood. "I Walked Today Where Jesus WaJked," was sung by Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wood with Beth Leigh acconpanylng. Mr. Hart-man Hart-man rendered a vocal solo, "Face to Face,' ai:d a quartet composed compos-ed of Lola McConnell, Mamie Eck, Mr. Hartman and Herschel Neeley sang "Oh, My Father." All were accompanied by Mrs. I Leigh. |
