Show Funeral Services To Be Held For Lawrence Bess Funeral services will be held in the College Ward chapel at 2 p. m. Friday for Lawrence Bess, 72, local livestock man who died in Arculia, Calif., early this week following a short illness. Mr. Bess had been in poor j health Ur some time, but had not be-'n in a serious condition. He was visiting in California with his daughter when he tie-came tie-came ill and died at her home. Friends may call at the Southern Utah Mortuary from 0 to S p. m. today, it from 11 a. m. until time of the services Friday. Mr. Bess was born in Salt Lake William Henry and Emma Smith City on Nov.' IS. 18S1, a son of Bess. He manied Maude Walker in Blackfoor, Idaho. He had resided re-sided i:i Cedar City for many years, end !'ad engaged in farming farm-ing ad shivp raising during his years h.'ve. He is survivved by a daughter, Mrs. C. I-. ("Jennie) Larson, Arcadia, Ar-cadia, Calif.; a nephew whom he reared, Brose Bess; three grandchildren, grand-children, Heed, ,T. L. and Dora Jane Barlow, and one sister, Mrs. Emma Smith, Milford. |
