Show Fires still threaten in cool weather CEDAR CITY -Despite recent moisture and cool temperatures, the fire danger on the Dixie Natinal Forest is still threatening, according ac-cording to Rollo H. Brunson, District ranger. Brunson urged all deer hunters, as well as other forest users, to use extreme ex-treme caution and good judgement with anything which could start a wildfire. , Because of cool weather during the deer hunt, many hunters forget or ignore outdoor fire safety by building camp or warming fires and then leaving them unattended or not totally extinguished; or they may be careless with cigarettes. Brunson encouraged deer hunters not to shortcut short-cut outdoor fire safety because of cold weather, and hopes that their hunting experience while on the National Forest, will be an enjoyable en-joyable one. |
