Show BOULDER. (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) Boulder, Colo.. Feb. 7. -Branch 433, L. C. B. A., of Boulder, has begun the i new year under the most favorable auspices. Five new members wets added to the roll at the last meeting. ; The annual installation of officers was held ca Thursday, Jan. IS. Mrs. Mary Tasset, Supreme Deputy and President of St. Elizabeth's Branch No. MOO, Denver, Den-ver, installed the. follow ing officers for the year 1900: President, Mrs. E. Vena-bles; Vena-bles; First Vice President. Mrs. George Helmer; Second Vice President, Miss Barbara Voegtle; Recording Secretary, Miss Laura Walsh; Assistant Recording Record-ing Secretary, Mrs. L. Norman: Financial Finan-cial Secretary, Miss Helen Venables; Treasurer, Miss Lou Garborina; Marshal, Mar-shal, Mrs. Mary Lee; Guard, Miss Ter- ! esa Kuemmert; Trustees, Mrs. Clara ; Binger, Mrs. M. V. Hall and Mrs. Anna , Dunigan. After the installation a so-, so-, cial hour was enjoyed by the members. Mrs. Tasset gave a short, but very encouraging en-couraging address, and congratulated them for the excellent basis, both socially so-cially and financially, on which they had placed the Branch and assured I the members of their success, remark- ing that in some of its most important points their Branch ranked with any in the State. The little daughter of Mrs. Schons , has been ill for same time with typhoid ty-phoid fever. Mr. B. Foley, who was visiting friends in Boulder, assisted the choir by some i choice violin selections Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. F. Conrad and son, Freddie, left last Wednesday for an extended trip to Chicago, Buffalo and New York. On Monday last a high wind, which lasted all day, blew in the northwest corner of the roof of the Hospital. The ! damage amounted to something over $100. i -Mrs. John Brinkman and family of i j Ward haye moved to Boulder and arc j j permanently located at the Ru?t Place j ' on Arapahoe avenue. j j Boulder is to have a new Public j Library. They being the only ; , ones of the Boulder Branch who were i able to accept the invitation that had i j been extended from Denver. i 1 Fires have been raging in Boulder i county and two of our thriving little : j towns were almcst wiped out of exist- j j ence. The busings portion of the fam- j ous little mining camp Ward was ! i nearly all burned and it was with great j j difficulty that the residence portion of j I the town wes saved. At Lafayette the j fire was r.ot subdued until many of the j large buildings were burned. I |
