Show OBITUARY. I Daniel Vincent Davidson, captain of Engine company Xo. 6, Denver fire department, pied on Monday, September Septem-ber 19, from injuries received the previous pre-vious day when the hose wagon over turned at Market and Fifteenth streets. Captain Davidson was not at the time supposed to have been seriously seri-ously injured, and the news of his death came as a distinct shock to friends all over the city. Captain Davidson Da-vidson was a native of Denver, of which place his parents were pioneers. He was 35 years of age and lived at 1600 Albion street in Park Hill. He was appointed to a place on the fire department in 1 It 00. and three years ago was placed in charge of the central cen-tral station at city hall. His record on the department was marked by numerous deeds of heroism, and his advance was rapid. The funeral wis held Thursday with requiem high mass at Sacred Heart church. Rev. Father Bruner, S. J., delivered an eloquent elo-quent sermon. Ten uniformed firemen chosen from Captain Davidson's company com-pany acted as pallbearers. Fire Chief Terry A. Owens and representatives of all the engine houses of the city formed a guard of honor. The floral pieces from the city council and fire departments were of unusual size and beauty. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. cem-etery. Captain Davidson is survived by two sisters, Mrs. P. J. O'Toole and Mrs. Theodore Smith, and two brothers. broth-ers. Assistant Fire Chief Robert Davidson Da-vidson of Denver and Alexander Davidson Da-vidson of Salida, Colo. sk sk Margaret, the 2-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Svetinich, died on Sunday, September 25, at the family fam-ily home, 524 West Twelfth avenue. The funeral took place Monday morning morn-ing from St. Leo's church. Interment' was in Mount Olivet cemetery. |
