Returning to this country, he entered. en-tered. St. Charles college, Maryland, graduating with distinction in 1857 After the usual course i philosophy, and theology in St. Mary's seminary, Baltimore, he was ordained a priest June 30, lSb'l, by the late Most Rev. Archbishop Kendrick. The years have been kind to Cardinal Gibbous. He bears little outward evidence of the treruendou mental strain which his high office entails. X |
