Show I I Obituary. !John Arthur Quinlan, only son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Quinlan, died on ; Friday, Aug. 16, at the family home, ' 3325 Santa Fe avenue. I ." j fical exertion The young man was but 19 years of age and graduated a short time ago from Sacred Heart college. col-lege. He was very bright and industrious, indus-trious, and life had much of promise for him. His death has robbed his parents of a loving and dutiful son, and Miss Helen Quinlan of a devoted brother and companion. The funeral occurred Sunday afternoon from St. Leo s church, where Rev. r atner O'Ryan pronounced .the last absolution absolu-tion and preached a touching and beautiful sermon. The pall-bearers were chosen from among his former companions in college. Interment was in Mount Calvary cemetery. The tloral offerings were abundant and beautiful. Especially noticeable were those from the Sacred Hear? boys and from Fort Logan, where Mr. Quinlan. father of the young man. is connected with the commissary department of the United States army. Mrs Katherine Lopez, wife of Philip Lopez of 2344 Washington avenue, died at Mercy hospital on Wednesday, Aug. 14, after a short illness. Her funeral fu-neral occurred Saturday afternoon, Aug. 17. from the Sacred Heart church, Rev. Father Swift, S. J., officiating. Burial was in Mount Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Anna Schwobe, mother of Mrs. Matthew Phos. died last week at her daughter's residence, 575 Dale Court. Her funeral was held Friday from St. Elizabeth's church, where requiem mass was said by Rev. Father Pius. A number of religious societies were represented. Interment was in Mount 'Olivet cemetery. The remains of Joseph T. Galey, who died last week at his home, 2109 West Twenty-eighth avenue, were shipped Thursday, Aug. 15, to his former home at Stewart. Ia. f. if. Miss Minnie Ryan of 122 Twentieth avenue died of appendicitis on Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Aug. 14. Miss Ryan was 24 years of age and was educated in the Immaculate Conception school on Logan Lo-gan avenue, where she endeared herself her-self alike to teachers and companions by her kindness of heart and grace and gentleness of manner. She was buried Friday morning, Aug. 36. from Logan Avenue chapel, where Rev. H. L. McXenamin with requiem mass. The junior choir furnished the music. Interment was in the family lot in Mount Calvary cemetery. Miss Rvan leaves her widowed mother, a sister and brother. John Marr of 4230 Wewatta street was buried Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 21, from Annunciation church. Rev. Father Woolehan officiating. Burial Bu-rial was in Mount Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth Flanlgan passed quietly and peacefully to her eternal reward Wednesday, Aug. 14, at her home, 269 Delaware street. Mrs. Flani-gan Flani-gan was born in Ireland eighty-one years ago, and ever remained a loyal daughter to the Emerald Isle. For many years she made her home in Denver with her daughter. Miss L. K. Flanigan, who conducted a Catholic book store near-the old cathedral on Stout street. Mrs. Flanigan Was a familiar fa-miliar figure around the church until age and its attendant ailments compelled com-pelled her to remain in her room. The funeral was held Friday morning from St. Joseph's church and was largely attended. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cal-vary cemetery. The body of Mrs. Paris Cody Mc-Kim, Mc-Kim, who died in Salt Lake City on Friday, Aug. 16, was brought to Denver Den-ver by her husband, David R. McKim, and interred Tuesday morning in Mount Calvary cemetery. Mrs. McKim Mc-Kim was formerly a resident of Denver Den-ver and occupied an enviable position in the musical world. |
