Show OIUTUARY. ' Mrs. Anna Finnerty, wife of Mich ael Finnerty of 1417 Gaylord street, passed away at St. Joseph's hospital on Thursday morning, after a brief illness. As few of her friends knew Fhe was ill, the news of her death came as a great shock. Mrs. Finnerty ieft three children, Peter. Jack and Virginia. She is also survived by her aged father, Mr. John . ; ; Kerin of 3226 Lawrence street, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Webster and Miss Margaret Kerin, and four brothers, broth-ers, Timothy. Bernard and John Kerin, Ker-in, and the Rev. Thomas P. Kerin of Danville, III. Mrs.-Finerty was a member of the Guardian Angel Guild and the St. Vincent's Aid society, and members of these societies attended her funeral, which occurred on Sunday morning at 9 o'clock from the Sacred Heart church,, of Which she had been a member prior to her marriage with Mr. Finnerty, ten years ago. v The last issue of the Intermountain Catholic recorded the death of little Louise Caroline, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Schmit of 4505 West Thirty-sixth avenue. Again during the past week the Angel of Death has entered their little fold and taken Charles Matthew, the 6-year-old son. His death occurred at Steele hospital on August 3. and he was laid to rest in Mt. Olivet cemetery on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Ellen Shea died at her home, 2023 Race street, on Wednesday, August Au-gust 3. at the age of 74 years. Her funeral took place from Logan Avenue chapel Thursday afternoon. Inter- ! ment at Mt. Olivet cemetery. I Mrs. Shea was the mother of Mrs. P. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Richard Con- nell. ! The funeral of Frank Kersteins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Moritz Kersteins of West Fourth and Sheridan boulevard, was held from St. Mary Magdalen church on Monday morning. IK Annie P. Raftes, who died at St. Anthony's hospital, was burled from the Church of the Holy Ghost on last Tuesday. - The home of Mrs. G. O. Smith was saddened during the last week by the J death of her little daughter Alice, j aged 6. Thomas Scully was buried from the j Church of the lioly Ghost on Wednes-I Wednes-I day, August 3. Mr. Scully was the brother of Mr. Humphrey Scully of Larras. Colo. Mr. Lester Howe passed away in this city on Saturday, August 6. Mr. Stephen P. Collins accompanied the remains to Chicago, the home of the deceased, where the funeral services and burial took place. The body of Dr. Miles, who died in Denver on Saturday, was shipped to his old home in Monroe, Mo., on Sunday. Sun-day. ' |
