Show DEATH OF JUDGE J. C. ROTLE. The announcement of the death of Jonathan C. Royle last Tuesday, though not unexpected, "was a source of regret to all who knew him. Of a retir-. ing disposition, Judge Royle was a man of a high order of talents, moral worth, high-minded, patriotic and a distinguished jurist. As junior member of the legal firm of Marshall & Royle, his opinion was ergerly sought by the most conservative business firms and corporations, and his decision was final. His religious sentiments were sincere and deeply deep-ly rooted, but unobtrusive. His home life was ideal 1 : s find truly Christian. He lived in this city for nearly forty years, always highly respected us a good citizen, citi-zen, yet -rarely did his name come before the public. pub-lic. His natural disposition was peace and good will to alL His benign influence and humility made all who came in- contact with him better, and this world is better because he lived in it. Hay he rest in peace, and may the burden of grief and sorrow rest lightly on his bereaved family. |
