Show AMERICAN FALLS, IDA. Father Hendricks Lectures and Answers An-swers Questions of Non-Catholics. (Special Correspondence.) On Oct. 3 Father Hendricks lectured at American Falls, and the large audience audi-ence that greeted him, composed of Catholics, , Protestants and Mormons, is the best evidence of the love and esteem in which he is held by the citizens citi-zens of American Falls, and of the realization, by the people that a lecture by. him is a treat that comes too rarely t-j ,ojtr. city to be missed by anyone who can possibly ' be' present. - - The lecture was a reply to the old materialistic question: Can the existence exist-ence of a soul in man be proven without with-out recourse'to the Bible and by appealing ap-pealing to the reason alone? The Jee-turer, Jee-turer, without once calling the Bible to his aid. fully demonstrated the existence exist-ence of the soul and forcibly drove home the truth that had ' the Bible never been written, yet would man the world over have realized beyond the shadow of a doubt that there exists within hima soul imperishable and indestructible. At the close of ' the lecture Father Hendricks answered a great , many written questions that had been handed him, in a manner that showed him kto be a ready thinker and a man of profound pro-found learning. . Let it be said in praise of those asking ask-ing questions that largely they were questions prompted by a desire for knowledge and asking for information either about the Catholic church or the Bible. They were honestly asked-and asked-and honestly and lucidly answered. Father Hendricks announced that during the coming winter he would deliver de-liver a. series of lectures at this place.
