Show Ancient Order of Hibernians. (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) Denver, Colo., Feb. 1. The celebration celebra-tion of St. Patrick's day, March 17, by the Ancient Order cf Hiberniana and other organizations, promises to eclipse anything ever attempted in Denver. Barth Finn, the president if division No. 1, haa been appointed by the county board of the A. O. H. as chairman! chair-man! of the committee of arrangements, and has issued1 invitations' to the Knights of St. John, the C. M. B. A., St. Patrick's Society, the Catholic Order of Forresters, and to all Irishmen not connected with any organization, to participate in the parade, which starts at 2 p. m., headed by the Hibernian Knights in full uniform; the membera of division Nos. 1, 2 and 5, followed by the Daughters' of Erin in carriages. Special inducements in the shape of the best of music, and neat, appropriate appropri-ate badges will be furnished to those who wish to march, and it is to be hoped that many who in former yeara hesitated to "fall in." wiil this year be seen in line. The question of prominent Irishmen to address the assemblage after the parade is under discussion. A grand reception and ball will be given in the evening. The gifted young Irish orator, P. J. Manning of Boston. Mass., is visiting Denver and attending the division I meetings-. |
