The celebration of St Patrick's Day, this year will eclipse any thing that has taken place in this city in the past. The lecture to be given, descriptive de-scriptive and historical, will be the most scholarly and interesting that could be given. The fame of the lecturer is wide spread. Father Cashman has not only made Irish history, ancient and modern, the study of his life, but he has been connected with all the great movements for the amelioration of his native na-tive country during the past forty years. He has visited all parts of the Island, is familiar with its beautiful scenery, and the history of its round lowers, having a choice selection of views which he presents on canvas. In the eastern press the stereopticon views were pronounced the best ever given of Ireland's old ruins and places of historic fame. Many have lived Sn the old land, others have visited some places there of renown; but few Ihave seen all its beauties and learned the story of its ancient glory. The lecturer will show all that is to be seen, and give practical information, informa-tion, facts which could not be gleaned from volumes of Irish history. "The Intermountain" extends a Cead Mille Falthe to the distinguished lecturer, who will arrive in our city next week, and congratulates the Salt Lake public on having an opportunity of being present at so artistic and entertaining a lecture. The sale of tickets in advance bespeaks a full house. The object of the lecture, the benefit of St. Ann's orphanage, will swell the audience. The lecture will be repeated the following night at Park City for the same object. In addition to the lecture there will be an artistic musical programme. - The artists include the very best talent of Salt Lake as follows: Mrs. J. Hal Moore. Miss Margery Webber, Miss Elsie Barrows, Mr. Heber Goddard end Mr. George Piper. Mrs. Edward McGurrin will perform on the harp and ! Master Roy Williams will be heard on the violin.
